I found Maralyn through a friend that had used her for her wedding. I wasn't even sure that I wanted a cake, but Maralyn was so great and easy to work with that I decided to go for it. My husband and I went down to her cake shop and had a tasting. We designed the cake in about 15 minutes, and that was it. No muss, no fuss.

Multiple people told me that the wedding cake was the best that they had ever had. And I have to say that I agree! It was amazing. Moist and chocolate fluffy goodness. Mmmmmm......

We used Maralyn at Have Your Cake to make our wedding cake in July and we are so happy we did. We tasted a few other cake vendors, but thought that Maralyn had the best tasting cakes. We ended up going with chocolate cake with two layers of mocha filling and a middle layer of dark chocolate ganache (which was amazing!), and vanilla buttercream frosting. The cake tasted great and looking beautiful. I had shown Maralyn a picture of a similar cake and talked with her about how we wanted the flowers placed, and it came out exactly how I pictured it. She even matched the purple frosting band on the cake to the ribbon we were using for some other wedding things.

Maralyn was very easy to work with and her prices were very reasonable. She will even make you a small version of your cake on your first anniversary so you don't have to freeze the top.

I would definitely recommend Maralyn if you are looking for a cake for any event.

Wow, this place is the best. We discovered Maralyn for our wedding (she was incredible and did everything we wanted, plus she had GREAT ideas for other vendors and as a result we had a beautiful wonderful wedding). We have used her for birthdays and other special occasion cakes since then. She does it all, and her shop is so fun to visit and her cakes are delicious. We've been going to her so long that since our wedding we now have two children, and my 8 year old is about to go through first communion and we will call Maralyn for a simple but elegant cake for that event. I can't speak highly enough of Have Your Cake and Maralyn's work.
